INFO

bEam arts residency offers an active and supportive environment for artists, academics, and designers seeking the space and time to create, experiment, and connect. Our program welcomes up to 3 artists from different disciplines to stay from 1 or 2 months. Situated in a vibrant cultural hub, the residency provides well-equipped facilities, studios, and an exhibition area that allows residents to develop and showcase their work. The program is designed to foster an open and collaborative atmosphere where creatives from diverse disciplines can explore new ideas and engage in cross-disciplinary dialogues. With access to various resources and a welcoming community, artists are encouraged to expand their practice in a place that values both innovation and tradition.

A key feature of the residency is its emphasis on community engagement and collaboration. Residents are encouraged to use the space to organize events, workshops, and other activities that involve the local community, creating a dynamic exchange of ideas and fostering connections beyond the studio walls. Whether through public lectures, installations, or hands-on workshops, the residency provides a platform for artists, academics, and designers to share their work and insights with a broader audience. This engagement not only enriches the residency experience but also contributes to the vibrant cultural fabric of Thessaloniki.

OBJECTIVES

The objective of our program is to provide a space where each artist-in-residency can feel free to create and explore their artistic ideas. We encourage artists to take ownership of their program and use the space in a way that best suits their needs. Our goal is to foster an environment that inspires creativity and allows artists to fully immerse themselves into their work, network within our growing community and be mentored by team members. Each artist-in-residence is expected to develop their proposed project.
